How to hand wash clothes in bathtub?
If you have a lot of clothes, you can wash them in the bathtub. Look at the correct way to use the bathtub to wash clothes, are you doing it wrong?
- Plug the water outlet into the bathtub with a stopper.
- Arrange clothes. It may not be necessary to sort clothes for handwashing, but it’s still a good idea to organize them before washing. Keep all white and dark clothing separate. Delicate clothing or particularly dirty areas should be washed separately
- Put water into the bathtub, and pay attention to the appropriate water temperature and amount.
- Put the clothes in the bathtub.
- Add detergent. Pour 1 or 2 tablespoons (depending on the size of the pot) into warm water. Liquid cleaners are most effective for hand laundry because they dissolve quickly. Mix the cleanser by hand to help spread and foam.
- Wet the clothes. Put dirty laundry in hot water. Soak for 10-15 minutes.
- Wash dirty clothes. On the stains of the clothes and the easily dirty parts such as cuffs and necklines, rub with some detergent with your hands.
- Rinse clothes. Dump the soap and dirt from the bathwater, refill the water, and pour the clothes into freshwater. Rinse as much dirty water off your clothes as possible. If there is still a lot of detergent in the clothes, it needs to be rinsed with clean water again.
- Dry the clothes. Turn clothes inside out to avoid sun damage. Then hang on a hanger and secure with clips. Depending on the temperature and humidity outside, it may take 1-2 days to dry completely.
