How to Hand Wash Silk and Lace Clothes

2 Add detergent. Add 1 tablespoon of detergent to warm water and gently agitate the garment by hand. Add more detergent if you do a lot of laundry at once.

6 Dry the laundry. Silk and lace won’t shrink or deform, so they can be hung to dry. Hang clothes on hangers and secure them with clips. If you don’t want your private clothes hanging in the yard, you can hang the clothes on the shower rod or wrap them in a towel and let them dry for a few days.
